The 2. 5 room apartment “Andrea Strand” is located on the lowest floor of the house and has a covered loggia with dining table, chairs and Ticino stone table overlooking the Mediterranean atmosphere and the lake. Refreshment is provided by the adjacent public beach.
The apartment (45 m2) is suitable for 3 to 4 people and consists of a small living room with pull-out sofa that can accommodate 2 people, a coffee table and armchairs. The kitchen conforms to a contemporary standard in terms of decor and design and is completely new (May 2024). A special feature is the freestanding Oltimer refrigerator from SIBIR. It is designed as a living-dining room and also has a single bed (day sofa - for siesta we have summer sleep in the cooling). The antique furniture gives the apartment coziness and flair. A large flatsceen TV and Wi-Fi are of course part of it. The new kitchen is equipped with everything and leaves nothing to be desired. Furthermore, the apartment has a double bedroom and a newly renovated bathroom with walk-in rain shower and toilet.
The infrastructure of the house includes a separate side room for shared use. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer, as well as a clothes rack, iron and ironing board available. Access to the house is via a staircase with about 40 steps down to the entrance.
You can park your car in the nearby public parking lots. Due to the good location and the proximity to public transport, it is also easy to spend the holidays without a car. The bus stop and Gerra Train Station are about a 3-minute walk away. Restaurants and grocery store are located in the resort.

The holiday home "St. Andrea" is located in Gerra Gambarogno, on the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore. From Gerra you can visit Italy, such as the weekly market in Luino, or explore the beautiful places on the lake with their different characteristics. The towns of Ascona and Locarno can also be reached by car or boat in about 30 minutes. The boat dock is about 200 m away.
The Gambarogno Riviera is located on the shores of Lake Maggiore, just opposite Locarno and Ascona. In late autumn to early spring the region remains rather shady, but in summer it transforms into a fascinating holiday paradise with long sunny days thanks to the deep green lake, beautiful villages and mountains in the background. Palm trees, vineyards, chestnut forests and pretty villages on the banks and on the hills; the Gambarogno Riviera embodies all this. On the hilltop terrace between Piazzogna and Vairano lies the famous Botanical Garden of Reto Eisenhut; it is definitely worth a visit. Numerous hiking trails wind through chestnut forests and lush pastures past dreamy alpine villages to the mountains of Monte Gambarogno and Monte Tamaro with fantastic panoramic views.
